Naturopathic Medicine excels at the prevention of disease and at optimizing health, in addition to effectively treating existing disease conditions. Naturopathic Physicians receive 8 years of education: a 4 year bachelor’s degree in pre-Med, followed by 4 years of academic and clinical training at a recognized Naturopathic Medical school.
Naturopathic medical care is covered by most extended medical plans, and a portion of the visit is covered if you receive Premium Assistance from BC Medical Services Plan (MSP).
The following are the Principles of Naturopathic Medicine which help guide us in our approach to healthcare:
1. First do no harm
2. The healing power of nature
3. Identify and treat the cause
4. Doctor as teacher
5. Treat the whole person
6. Prevention is the best cure
The foundation of the Naturopathic approach is based on individualized patient care with a focus on treating the cause and healing from within.
I am trained in the use of nutrition and supplements, herbal medicine, acupuncture and homeopathy in addition to other modalities including intra-venous therapy, Bowen Therapy, bio-identical hormone therapy and pharmaceutical prescription.
